Brown-eyed Stare

(no subject)

"We can't jump the tracks; we're like cars on a cable. Life's like an hourglass glued to the table. No one can find the rewind button, girl, so cradle your head in your hands... and breathe... Just breathe."
Brown-eyed Stare

Insight at 3am:
Mirable visu.

What I wouldn't give for a real keyboard right now.... and some time in my sorely-missed Mitten State.

Somebody send me some *real* beach sand, eh? With a really brisk, chill wind that whips my hair and brings a rosy pink to my cheek? And some sprigs of wintergreen and sassafras.... and some wild sumac to suck the sour goodness out of. I'll take it, fuzz and pink teeth and all.

Ye gods, how I miss home.
Brown-eyed Stare

Cool lyrics....(not the whole song)

I'm a living sunset, lightning in my bones.
Push me to the edge, but my will is strong,
'Cause I believe in a better way.
Fools will be fools, and wise will be wise,
But I will look this world straight in the eyes,
'Cause I believe in a better way.
I believe in a better way

(Hope these words feel pleasant as they rest upon your ear)

Reality is sharp, it cuts at me like a knife.
Everyone I know is in the fight of their life.
But I believe in a better way.
Take your face out of your hands, and clear your eyes;
You have a right to your dream, and don't be denied.
I believe in a better way.
I believe in a better way.
I believe in a better way.

"Better Way," Ben Harper
