Plessy v. Ferguson, the Supreme Court case in 1896 that instituted 'separate vs. equal' in the US. It was overturned (and very rightly so) by the landmark decision Brown v. Board of Education in 1954.

Am I so far behind the times, to think that modern slang (or 'urban/ghetto-speak') is appropriate in a Vice Presidential debate? I understand that acknowledging the children that may be watching is a good thing, but IN SLANG?
Does this set a good example to the children of our 'Brightest and Best', to which they can and should aspire? Ye gods, NO.
