The night before, at about 3am, I got up to use the bathroom. And -- all nifty details left aside -- I wound up falling and bonking the top of my head. And, as sleepy as I was, I just went back to bed. When I got up yesterday morning, I was fuzzy headed (as usual), but a bit more sore, and my lips were grey, and I just wans't feeling well. So I called in, and went back to bed. And at around noon, I woke up, and upon talking with Jim, I remembered that I'd fallen the night before, and felt the hotsopt on the top of my head. So, I called a friend (Thank you, dianthus!!) who took me to a hastily-made dr's appointment.
The moral of the story is this: I probably had a light concussion, as well as the muscle aches around my neck and shoulders, from the slamming-into-the-wall part (and no, I did NOT leave a hole in the drywall, thankyouverymuch). I was just *so* sleepy that I wasn't paying attention. SO, a sleep study is in order for me, SOON, and some more tylenol (right now, I think), as well as exercise during the LIGHT part of the day. I'm glad I didn't get a big goosegg, like I did when I fell out of trees as a kid (I was an expert tree-climber, once upon a time). And apparently, I am enough aware of when my upper spine is off, that when I stretch, I can put stuff back into place. So, go me.
That's about it for now. Am leaving for *yet another* checkup (this time with the cancer doctor, who usually says "You're as healthy as a horse -- see you in another 3 months!"). And then I'll be back to my desk here for a bit, before heading home, to do some gentle stretches, to anime (A set of "Ah My Goddess" discs that a friend gave me).
