Feel What You Wish

You may be aware of tension today that exists between you and someone you’ve had past issues with. You may feel irritated and unsure on how to react. While you may be tempted to lash out or become dour, you may only succeed in further aggravating yourself. A better course of action may be to seek solitude and spend time engaging in activities you enjoy. Relaxing through meditation or exercise can dispel stressful feelings. The time you spend alone may help you realize that you can recapture a positive mood simply by removing yourself from sources of tension. Try to get away today as often as you need to, even if that means taking short breaks.

Knowing that you have the power to influence your emotions can help you take responsibility for what you feel. You’ll never feel powerless to change your mind-set when you are firm in your belief that you can change what you feel by changing your thoughts or acts. Being able to choose how you feel protects you from those who would seek to sway your emotions. You have the ability to make yourself happy, even in the midst of chaotic or unpleasant circumstances. When you know that your emotions are yours to experience as you please, no one will be able to ruin your mood today.
